What is RON?
RON is the short name of “Researched Octane Number” or known as as amount of chemical chain octane in a fuel. This system is intoduced by Rusell Marker on 1926. Rusell Marker, a researcher from America has found that hydrocarbon value chain in the fuel can affect the burning rate.
The differences between RON95 and RON97 is the amount of hydrocarbons chain. The higher number of RON the higher the amount of hydrocarbons chain. So, RON97 have more hydrocarbons chain compare to RON95.
The higher amount of hydrocarbons chain the longer it can stand when compressed into the engine before it burn. Even the price of RON97 is higher than RON95 but it the fuel is more save for a car.
So, my advise is do refer your car service centre before start decide what type of fuel you want to use for your car.
